Company Introduction
Since 1965, Pau Yuan is the Chinese herbal medicine supplier and the largest of its kind in Malaysia. Pau Yuan specializes in importing and proxy of Chinese herbal medicine, Chinese patent medicine, Chinese medicinal health products and the distribution service of precious Chinese herbs. With its traditional and rigorous processing technique, Pau Yuan not only sits as the most prestigious and time-honored brand in Malaysia, it is also well-known at abroad and favored by different customer tiers.
Pau Yuan has over hundreds of products varieties, making it to be the popular wholesaler for either small company or large enterprise to forge long-term cooperative relationship in Malaysia. In 2012, Pau Yuan has over thousands of Chinese herbal medicine distributors in Malaysia, amongst them including pharmaceutical factories, Chinese herbal medicine shops, TCM clinic, restaurants, souvenir shops, etc.

With deep respect and gratitude, we honour our late founder, Mr. Chen Yen Sen, a visionary pioneer whose journey in the world of Chinese herbs began in 1965.
Driven by a deep belief in the healing power of traditional Chinese medicine, Mr. Chen Yen Sen dedicated his life to preserving ancient wisdom while bringing quality herbal products to modern world. His values of integrity, perseverance, and respect for nature laid the cornerstone of our company’s mission and philosophy.
Through decades of hard work and unwavering commitment, he transformed a humble beginning into a trusted name in the industry. Although Mr. Chen Yen Sen is no longer with us, his legacy lives on, not only in the business he built, but in the hearts of all who continue his work.

MILESTONES
Mr Chen Yen Sen, the founder of Pau Yuan started as an apprentice since 14 years old.
Started his own Chinese herb store. Located in Butterworth, Penang.
Mr Chen's children joining the family business, dedicated to its success and improvement.
Established Pau Yuan Ginseng Sdn. Bhd. Together with his son, Mr Chen Teik Fooi, went to the U.S. and Canada to source for American Ginseng.
Mr. Chen Teik Fooi formally joined the family business after pursuing further studies in Canada. During his time there, he was actively involved in the procurement of American ginseng and wild ginseng, bringing them into Pau Yuan and becoming one of the early pioneers in developing the American ginseng market in Malaysia. Today, he serves as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Pau Yuan, continuing to lead the company toward growth and innovation.
Develop the herbal business by establishing a dedicated procurement team, focusing on the selection of high-quality herbs.
Pau Yuan supplies many companies and enterprises in Malaysia, including pharmaceutical factories, herbal shops, TCM clinics, restaurants, and souvenir stores.
Moved from our old retail shop into the industrial area, marking a significant step in our growth.
Pau Yuan and Yuan An Tang officially sign a strategic partnership agreement to elevate the Chinese herbal medicine industry.
A new 115,000sqf factory and office were built, while expanding into cold chain storage to offer better service .
Officially launched our cold chain service operations, strengthening our capabilities in temperature-controlled storage.
Developed our own in-house finished goods and established PY Healthcare, marking a new chapter in our product innovation and healthcare expansion.
